This page describes how dronephotoeditor handles your information when you use the editor, create an account, buy one-time credit packs, or manage signed-in places. See also our Terms of Service.
Editing on your device
The editor stores your local workspace, photos, annotations, and saved logos in your browser. Choosing a photo for local editing does not upload it. Browser storage can be cleared by you or your browser.
Accounts
An account with a verified email is required to open the editor. When you create an account, Supabase handles authentication and stores account information such as your email and sign-in records. Google sign-in requests your basic profile and email to identify your account; it does not request Gmail messages, Drive files, or contacts.
Your account also stores profile settings you choose, such as a display name. Your photos, annotations, logos, and project details are not uploaded; they stay in your browser.
Payments
Stripe processes payments. We do not see or store your full card number. We keep purchase and billing records and your credit balance so we can apply purchases and authorize clean exports. Credit packs are one-time purchases, not recurring charges.
Signed-in places
Each account can use two signed-in browser profiles at a time. Your browser creates a random identifier stored on that device. To enforce this limit, we store the identifier, a browser/platform label, the verified sign-in session identifier, creation and last-active timestamps, and records of sessions that have been signed out or replaced. This is a browser registration, not a hardware fingerprint. Multiple tabs in the same browser profile share one place; a different browser profile counts separately.
If you sign in from a third place, you can choose an existing place to sign out before continuing. Signing out or replacing a place ends its app access without deleting the photos or projects stored on that device. Signing in elsewhere does not sync that local work.
When you export at full resolution with credits, the editor sends our server a fingerprint of each original photo (a SHA-256 hash), never the photo itself. When available, it also sends a hashed capture identifier to recognize eligible re-edited versions. These identifiers do not contain the image. We store photo-unlock records and eligible version counts so we can calculate export credits and avoid charging again for an original photo already unlocked by your account.
Address suggestions
Typing a property address requests address suggestions through our server from Photon using OpenStreetMap data. When available, locally read photo GPS may help prioritize nearby address matches. The photo itself is not sent for address suggestions. Results may be cached for up to 24 hours.
Nearby places
When you open Places on a drone photo, the editor reads the photo’s GPS location, height, and camera direction on your device. In Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas, the editor downloads our own copy of open place data from Overture Maps and the U.S. Department of Education for the surrounding area, in squares about 10 km across, and finds nearby places on your device. Our server sees only which squares are downloaded, not the photo’s location, and nothing is sent to other services. Elsewhere, only the location, rounded to about 100 meters, and a search distance are sent to our server, which looks them up in OpenStreetMap data using Overpass (overpass.private.coffee) or, when it is busy, Photon. The photo, its other details, and your annotations are not sent. Results may be cached for up to an hour. Places opens on its own for a drone photo with location data and nothing on it yet, and looks up nearby places then; otherwise nothing is looked up until you open it.
Service providers
The app is hosted on Cloudflare, which also stores purchase, credit, and sign-in-place records. Supabase processes sign-in information, Resend delivers account confirmation and password-reset emails, and Stripe processes payments. These services receive the information needed to provide those functions and may process technical information such as IP addresses, request logs, and security logs.
Storage, deletion, and your choices
Drone Photo Editor uses browser storage for your local workspace and sign-in session. The app does not include advertising trackers or a separate analytics SDK. Signing out does not delete your local work.
You can download project backups and remove local browser data at any time. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, contact us below.
